Karrion Kross wasted no time letting the world know he was open for business after his WWE contract expired at midnight on August 10.
Shortly after announcing he was free to take bookings, WWE tried to shift attention to their upcoming August 10 episode of WWE LFG — but fans had other plans. The company’s social media post promoting the show was immediately swarmed with comments, as the hashtag #WeWantKross dominated replies. Fans clearly weren’t ready to let his exit slide without making noise.
This kind of fan takeover isn’t new for WWE. Earlier this year, when R-Truth was released, WWE’s social media accounts were hijacked in the same way, with every post covered in #WeWantTruth. It didn’t stop online either — live crowds at RAW, NXT, SmackDown, and even TNA events erupted in “We Want Truth” chants until the company brought him back.
With the August 11 episode of RAW just hours away, there’s a strong chance the same thing could happen for Kross. Fans have made it clear they’re not happy with how his WWE run ended, and they’re willing to take over both social media and live events to make their voices heard.
