The Survivor Series: WarGames main event had all the ingredients for a classic… until the final moments left fans absolutely furious.

Social media exploded with outrage after WWE closed the show with a mystery man interfering in the Men’s WarGames match, costing CM Punk the victory. And to say fans weren’t feeling it would be putting it lightly.

One fan took to Twitter and made it clear they had no problem with Team Heyman winning but the ending angered them, saying, “Got no problem with Team Heyman winning. It’s the End results that got me furious.”

Another fan was just confused at the ending, saying, “What was that ending????” A different fan was harsher with his criticism as he called the ending garbage, saying, “Ending of survivor series was garbage holy s***Writers don’t even care.”

And one especially frustrated fan didn’t mince words, dragging the creative team through the mud:

“The ending to survivor series absolutely SUCKED. This creative team is f***** atrocious. They couldn’t book a god damn picnic. There BETTER be some answers on RAW. Overall I liked the event. But that men’s wargames match could have been so much better.”

Another fan rated Survivor Series a C+, saying it could have earned a B- if not for the disappointing ending, which ruined the overall experience for them.

“I give survivor series a C+ #SurvivorSeries could’ve been a B- but that ending killed it for me.”

During the final stretch of the Men’s WarGames match — which featured CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Jey and Jimmy Uso vs. Bron Breakker, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and The Vision — the action took a bizarre turn. Out of nowhere, a masked man climbed the cage, entered the match, and attacked CM Punk with a stiff kick and a stomp. Without revealing his identity, the intruder escaped the same way he came in.

Moments later, Bron Breakker hit Punk with a spear and secured the win for Team Heyman. The move, seemingly designed to stir up mystery and set the stage for a future storyline, left a bitter taste in fans’ mouths. While the rest of the show had plenty to offer, the finish to the Men’s WarGames bout is all anyone is talking about — and not in a good way.
