The August 18th edition of Monday Night Raw had a lot of great moments, but it turned out to be pretty bad for a fan, as the fan revealed that security took away her signs.

A WWE fan took to Twitter and revealed that she brought signs for Naomi, Bayley, and Natalya to Monday Night Raw. The fan explained that her grandfather, who she affectionately called “Poppy,” made her very first WWE sign years ago.

Since then, she’s continued the tradition by creating signs for every wrestling show she’s attended, whether independent or professional. This was her first time attending a WWE event without being able to show her Poppy the signs, making it a deeply emotional moment.

“My Poppy made me my first WWE sign. Since then, I’ve made [them] for every show, indy or pro. He always loved seeing them, and this will be the first time I can’t show him. No matter how old I get, I’ll carry on the tradition he started.”

However, the fan later posted an update revealing that security confiscated her posters before the show began. She shared a photo she took before they were taken, tagging Bayley and letting her know the support was still there.

“Update. They took my posters from me. So. Yep. Got this photo before they took my poster away from me 🥴 Anyways. Here for you @itsBayleyWWE ♥️ #wweraw.”

The fan even noted that the signs followed the guidelines and she made the signs smaller than the maximum, saying, “They follow the guidelines and everything. Purposely made them smaller than the maximum as well.”

What was supposed to be a special continuation of her family’s legacy turned into disappointment after her signs were taken away. Regardless, we hope such a thing doesn’t happen to the fan again in the future.

What do you think—should WWE ease up on confiscating fan signs if they follow the official guidelines? Have you ever had a similar experience at a wrestling event? Sound off in the comments.
