A wrestling fan says he was denied entry to the February 11, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite in Ontario, California—and it wasn’t for causing a scene. According to the fan, it was all about his shirt.
A fan took to Twitter and claimed Toyota Arena security barred him from attending the show because he was wearing one of Brody King’s “Abolish ICE” t-shirts—an official design sold by King with proceeds reportedly going to individuals affected by ICE enforcement.
“Today, I was supposed to go to AEW Dynamite, which is taking place right behind me today at Toyota Arena here in Ontario, California. However, the security guards here at that building denied me entry, pretty much behind me, for the day because of my shirt, the Brody King Abolish ICE t-shirt that I'm wearing. The ones that Brody King has been slaying with the proceeds going to people that have been affected by ICE harassing around the country. Yeah, that one.”
The fan went on to say that when asked to turn the shirt inside out, he tried to explain its significance—but was quickly shut down. He said staff cited concerns about potential political controversy and claimed the shirt might offend people. He ended his statement disappointed but calm, saying.
“They wanted me to turn the shirt inside out and when I told them about what the situation was, they were not having it. Chris Shaw, I guess who I'm assuming is the head of security inside the building, he had a short fuse and denied me entry before I can even properly explain myself. They claim that they don't want any political controversies and all and they thought my shirt might offend people.
It's like, 'Dude, really?' I'm probably wearing one of the most popular shirts inside the building had I been inside. I guess I'm just going to take my L. I'm gonna go home. It's unfortunate that the security guards here feel a type of way. It's a damn shame.”
This incident comes one week after the February 4 AEW Dynamite in Las Vegas, when the crowd loudly chanted “F*** ICE” just before MJF vs. Brody King. The chant, while unrelated to AEW storylines, drew attention as ICE continues to face national criticism over alleged brutality and deaths during enforcement operations. It’s unclear if this week’s situation influenced security protocols at the Ontario show. As of now, AEW and Toyota Arena have not issued any public statement on the alleged ban.
What’s your take—should fans be allowed to wear shirts like this at wrestling shows, especially when they’re sold by the performers themselves? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
