The drama surrounding Matt Riddle’s alleged dealings with an indie wrestling promoter has taken another turn.

Ringside News has confirmed with Dillon Hines, the promoter accusing Riddle of misconduct, that the $2,000 refund was indeed returned. However, the story doesn’t end there.

Riddle, accused of demanding $10,000 despite an $8,000 agreement and skipping a scheduled Meet & Greet, is now facing pushback from Hines, who has doubled down on his claims. Ringside News also learned that Riddle had not booked travel for the event, making his appearance at the Meet & Greet improbable from the start.

Meanwhile, Misha Montana, Riddle’s partner, has been vocal in her defense of the WWE alum, taking to X to lash out at the promotion. Montana has also indicated plans to sue the promoter, but Dillon Hines is standing firm.

On his Facebook page, Hines responded directly to the legal threat, writing, “Don’t make false accusations to someone that has screenshots that back up their statements. Feel free to sue, but I’ll be counter-suing for everything!”

This feud is heating up fast, and it looks like neither side is backing down anytime soon. With lawsuits and countersuits being thrown around, it’s clear that this story has plenty more layers to unravel. Who do you think has the stronger case—Riddle and Montana, or promoter Dillon Hines?
