Danielle Moinet—known to WWE fans as Summer Rae—might be thinking about lacing up her boots again. The former WWE star has been retired since 2017, but now she’s openly talking about a possible return to the ring.
In a recent interview with The Wrestling Classic’s Justin Dhillon, Moinet admitted she’s been pulled back into the wrestling world through Hollywood. She’s been working on some film and TV projects involving wrestling and has been training under none other than Chavo Guerrero.
“I’ve been getting the itch a little bit,” she said. “I’ve been doing some projects in Hollywood that require some wrestling, and so Chavo Guerrero recently told me that I still have it, and I’m like, ‘Chavo, don’t say that!’”
Apparently, the encouragement hit hard. “He also gave me a Guerrero shirt, and I wear it now, and I feel like I’m one of them,” Moinet added with a laugh.
While she officially stepped away from WWE years ago, Summer Rae made a surprise return during the 2022 Royal Rumble—and was even paid in cryptocurrency for the appearance. She’s also been vocal about her interest in the crypto world outside the ring.
With Hollywood keeping her close to the business and Guerrero fanning the flames, it sounds like Summer Rae’s comeback might be more than just a fantasy.
