CJ Perry is stepping into the comedy spotlight with a brand-new passion: stand-up. The former WWE star revealed on her Identity Crisis podcast that she’s going full throttle into the world of comedy — and it’s not just talk.
CJ has already enrolled in two stand-up comedy classes and is planning to add a third to her schedule. The goal? Prepare for her first-ever live show on March 26, 2026, in Los Angeles. In typical CJ fashion, she isn’t approaching this half-heartedly. She’s all in — nerves and all.
“I am so excited. It takes all the nerves away. Like, I’m excited. I cannot wait to go out there and say, ‘F**k it.’ And suck,” she said with enthusiasm.
CJ credits her fearlessness to acting coach Lesly Kahn’s philosophy: “Dare to suck.” That mantra clearly stuck, and now Perry’s diving headfirst into something new after years in the wrestling and performance world. She also shared that the thrill of entertaining crowds is something she deeply missed after leaving the ring.
“I really miss performing in Crystal River, Largo, Tampa, Florida… these small little armories where I would wrestle in front of 100 people. Maybe I sucked, maybe I did okay—but that connection with the people and performing… I miss that.”
Her journey into comedy comes alongside her work with husband Miro, who’s launching the Catch Pro Wrestling Academy in Nashville. CJ joked that her goal is to eventually become a wrestling manager again — this time with a sharper comedic edge. She’s already manifesting big plans for 2026 — including stand-up gigs, managing talent at Catch Academy, and maybe even a traveling version of their podcast.
“I’m not just a dreamer. I’m also a doer. So it’s very important to dream extremely… and then go put action to where the dreams are,” CJ said.
Perry’s stand-up debut is locked in for March 26, 2026, and she’s encouraging fans to come out, support, and witness her next chapter live.
This move into stand-up is a bold evolution for someone already known for reinventing herself in the spotlight. Whether she crushes or bombs, CJ Perry is doing what few have the guts to try — and she’s doing it loud and proud.
