AJ Mendez, better known to WWE fans as AJ Lee, is stepping back into the spotlight—this time, on the big screen.

The former Divas Champion just revealed she’ll be appearing in “Sacramento,” an upcoming film starring Michael Cera, Kristen Stewart, Maya Erskine, and Michael Angarano.

The movie, directed by Michael Angarano, follows Rickey (Angarano) as he convinces his friend Glenn (Cera) to take an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento following the death of his father. Stewart plays Rosie, Glenn’s pregnant wife, who encourages the unexpected adventure.

AJ Lee confirmed her role in the film via her Instagram Stories, but details about her character remain under wraps.

This isn’t Lee’s first dive into Hollywood. Since retiring from wrestling in 2015 due to permanent cervical spine damage, she has built an impressive career in entertainment. She starred in 2019’s horror film “Rabid”, lent her voice to “Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery”, and had a recurring role in Season 2 of “Heels”.

Lee has also made waves as an author, mental health advocate, and producer, proving she’s much more than just a wrestling icon.
