TNA Wrestling brought fans Genesis to kick off 2025 in a strong way. The night included a ton of big matches, and they also had a change to their crew with the return of an old ring announcer.
McKenzie Mitchell returned to TNA Wrestling as the ring announcer at the Genesis pay-per-view in Dallas, Texas. She was immediately spotted by fans as they arrived in the building.
Mitchell’s return brings her back to the company where she began her wrestling career in 2016. During her initial time with TNA, Mitchell developed her broadcasting skills before moving to WWE NXT, where she worked as a backstage interviewer.
McKenzie Mitchell’s time with WWE ended in December 2023 as part of a wave of talent releases. That was a huge shock for fans, but she didn’t stay unemployed for very long.
With NXT and TNA’s new partnership, only time will tell if her voice appears on NXT programming again down the line. This is a nice change for TNA Wrestling as they start the new year.
