Todd Grisham might’ve walked away from WWE over a decade ago, but he’s not shutting the door and revealed that a return is still on the table.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, the former WWE broadcaster opened up about leaving the company back in 2011 — and why he’d absolutely be open to calling matches again.

“I want to,” Grisham said when asked if he’d go back. “I’m one of the few people who left on my own terms — and left on a good note.”

Grisham credited Jonathan Coachman for helping him land a gig at ESPN. After getting the green light from ESPN, he asked WWE for an early out — and Kevin Dunn said yes. But what stuck with him most was what Triple H told him before he left.

“They brought Jonathan Coachman back — he was working at ESPN at the time — so I asked him, ‘Hey man, can you get me an audition at ESPN?’ With about three months left on my deal, he got me an audition. Thank God they gave me a position.

So I went to Kevin Dunn near the end of my contract and asked if they’d let me out early — and he said yes. Then Triple H came up to me and said, ‘Thanks for all the years you’ve been here. Anytime you want to come back, let me know. Great job.’”

Since then, Grisham has been a staple in combat sports broadcasting — from calling Glory kickboxing in Amsterdam to covering boxing on DAZN. And while his calendar is packed, he’s not ruling out a WWE return, especially with wrestling typically airing on Mondays.

“Why not? They say never say never,” he said. “My schedule right now is crazy — I go to Amsterdam eight times a year, I’ve been there more than 50 times… I also do DAZN boxing, so my schedule is packed. But the good thing about wrestling is — it’s usually on Mondays. That’s why someone like Joe Tessitore can do sporting events on the weekend and then wrestling.”

Grisham might not be back just yet, but it sounds like it’s only a matter of time before we get to hear his voice echoing through the WWE Universe again.
