The controversy surrounding Masha Slamovich continues to escalate as more people come forward with disturbing accounts of her alleged behavior.
After her ex-partner AKIRA accused her of domestic violence, Slamovich labeled the relationship “mutually destructive.” But now, her former roommate is speaking out—and says that’s not the truth at all.
Taking to Twitter, the roommate painted a harrowing picture of abuse, manipulation, and emotional chaos inside their shared home. According to them, fights between Masha and AKIRA would often erupt in the middle of the night, waking the roommate with hours-long screaming matches—and sometimes, alleged physical violence.
“It wasn’t mutual, and if I wanted to I would post what videos I have of their fights that would go hours on end, waking me up any time from Midnight to 3 am, where it would be hours on hours of her screaming at him… the times she would physically assault him to immediately asking why he wouldn’t just put his hands up or try and stop her.”
The roommate also claimed that when AKIRA would try to defend himself—grabbing her wrists or yelling at her to stop—Masha would flip the script.
“She would then turn around and cry wolf, immediately screaming bloody murder for help until he would let her go, only for her to go back to hitting him.”
They said they repeatedly begged the couple to break up, but their efforts went nowhere. According to the roommate, AKIRA still wanted to make the relationship work, while Masha allegedly tried to control everything about him—from his body and gear to his wrestling career.
“She was on the opposite spectrum, believing her actions were justified and actually ‘needed’ to help turn AKIRA into whatever image suited her fancy that month… If it wasn’t his gear it was his body shape, if it wasn’t his body shape it was his moveset, if it wasn’t the moves it was the companies he worked for.”
The story gets even darker. The roommate alleges that Masha personally threatened them with violence for speaking up and guilt-tripped them into staying in the apartment instead of returning home to care for their ailing mother.
“If I ever spoke up about anything I was threatened physically, told I’d be put in the hospital or f***** killed… Masha’s only reason for wanting me to stay was because she didn’t want to have to pay more for rent, and ‘who was going to take care of the dog and cook for us.’”*
Reflecting on their experience, the roommate said they stayed out of loyalty to AKIRA and a belief they were all trying to help each other succeed. But over time, that illusion faded.
“She cares only about herself and the longer I stayed there the more I realized it… But nothing about that situation was ‘mutual.’”
The former roommate concluded their message by saying they don’t regret coming forward, even if it means losing friends in the process.
“I probably prevented more s** from happening than whatever did. If anything I’ll regret losing friends for saying anything, ‘cause I’m sure it’ll happen.”*
This testimony adds to a growing list of voices contradicting Masha Slamovich’s narrative, including AKIRA’s best friend, who also accused her of lying. As of now, TNA Wrestling is said to be conducting an internal investigation into the situation.
