Eva Marie isn’t running from the storm—she’s finding peace in the middle of it.

The former WWE star opened up during her interview on Unwrapped with Sonya Deville and Toni Cassano about the real story behind her divorce and how, despite the turmoil, she’s finally found a sense of calm that she’s never experienced before. Eva recently relocated from Texas back to California and filed for divorce—two major life changes that might shake anyone. But for her, it’s been the opposite.

“You would think that like I would be—if you look at my personal life, it’s like quite chaotic—but yet I’m the most peaceful I’ve ever been.”

She admitted that before filing, she told absolutely no one—not even close friends—because she didn’t want other people’s opinions affecting her decision.

“Even before I filed for divorce I didn’t tell a soul. The only person—the only people that I talked to, and this was after I sat with it for quite some time—were my parents. Because my parents are like the only ones that I truly care what they think, and I worry about their opinion.”

Eva made it clear this was about trusting her own inner voice and clarity—not second-guessing because of emotional feedback.

“People think they have the best intentions for you and think that they know, but what it really does is start clouding your own thoughts and then making you second guess certain things.”

She also pointed out how sharing personal decisions like divorce with others can create long-term tension—especially if reconciliation ever happens.

“If you didn’t really want to get a divorce, then now you expect your friend or mentor or someone to accept that person back in without having any type of feeling? You know?”

The whole thing? Personal growth. No drama. No shade. Just Eva taking control of her life on her own terms. And now we know why—because the marriage is officially over.

As previously reported, Eva Marie filed for divorce from husband Jonathan Coyle back in December 2024. The split, listed as irreconcilable differences, marks the end of a relationship that began in a CrossFit gym and took off like a rocket. The two eloped in 2014 and later held a formal wedding with WWE stars like the Bella Twins, Layla, Cameron, and Summer Rae in attendance.

Their relationship was a staple on Total Divas, where fans saw both their chemistry and conflict front and center. Eva Marie’s post-WWE journey has already included Celebrity Big Brother, fitness modeling, acting, and launching her own recovery center. Add “peaceful divorce survivor” to the list.

What do you think about Eva Marie’s honest take on handling divorce privately and finding peace through the storm? Would you have done the same in her position? Drop your thoughts below—we want to hear what you think.
