Ethan Page has no plans to be overlooked—and after watching several NXT stars jump to the main roster, the North American Champion made sure the spotlight stayed right where he wanted it.
Following the New Year’s Evil special on January 6, Page cut a scathing promo aimed not only at his fellow NXT roster members but at the system that continues to underestimate what he brings to the table. As Trick Williams, Jordynne Grace, and Je’Von Evans all prepare to start their journeys on SmackDown and Raw, Page is left to carry the NXT brand—and he’s not happy about it.
“I don’t think I’ve ever reached this level of frustration. Not because of this idiot that’s yelling at me, but because of how little the wrestlers – I’m going to use that phrase very loosely – in NXT appreciate me.”
The reigning champion pointed out that while others are getting celebrated as “free agents,” their departure simply adds more pressure on him to perform and lead.
“We have our general manager announcing talent taking up free agency, meaning they’re leaving. More weight for Ethan Page to carry, and I welcome it.”
He didn’t stop there. Page was clearly fed up with the lack of respect during his own segment at New Year’s Evil, where multiple interruptions seemed to add fuel to his growing frustration.
“Not a single talent that wanted to interrupt me tonight during my promo time, during my ring time, during my television time, not a single one of you appreciated what I do for you, who I am for you, what I bring to you.”
And with a final warning, Page promised that 2026 will be different. He’s not playing the same game anymore—and the rest of the NXT locker room better catch up.
“So now in 2026, I will continue to conquer and set an example. This time, I’m going to escalate things, and set an example that nobody, nobody will be able to follow.”
Ethan Page has made it clear: he’s done waiting for validation, and the NXT landscape is about to shift whether people like it or not.
