Ethan Page Blasts Mr. Iguana Over Rental Car Incident Ahead of Title Match

Just hours before WWE NXT Deadline goes live from the Boeing Center in San Antonio, Ethan Page took to the parking lot outside the venue to cut one last promo—and he made it personal.

Page, who is set to defend his NXT North American Championship against AAA’s Mr. Iguana, didn’t mince words when addressing the challenger. But instead of hyping the match in typical fashion, Page brought up a bizarre off-screen incident involving a rental car—and claimed Iguana left WWE with a mess to clean up.

“Iguana. The few days I’ve had have been extremely frustrating. Not for the reasons you believe. I don’t think you understand the impression you’ve made on WWE’s corporate team after you left Ethan Page’s rental car near Disney World. If you needed the dineros to meet the mouse, I could have handled that. But now I’ve got to deal with a bunch of a mess that you have made for me and my employer.”

Page leaned into the metaphor and sent a clear message that the good times are over.

“I think you believe that green means go because you’ve been doing everything that you want your way. Well, today green runs into red and that’s me. And now you have to deal with the consequences of your actions. Iguana. I’m the stop sign. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 and do not walk away with Ethan Page’s gold.”

He capped it off with a threat that only adds more fuel to the fire for tonight’s showdown.

“Iguana. I have no problem sending you packing after today. So just like Tuesday, the ride home is on me.”

With emotions running high and the championship on the line, this match just went from a standard title bout to something far more personal.
