As rumors swirl around Chris Jericho’s next move, Eric Bischoff is adding fuel to the fire — and he thinks TNA might be the key to Jericho’s final chapter.
Speaking on 83 Weeks, Bischoff addressed the idea of Jericho jumping to TNA Wrestling, and he didn’t hesitate. In his view, Jericho isn’t just open to it — he wants to do it.
“I think Chris would like to do it. I think Chris wants to be involved in TNA — maybe just to check the box. But also there’s just an attachment to it. It’s Canadian, right? Chris is that way to a degree. He likes to see the hometown guys win, and if he can contribute in any way, he will. That’s my sense of who Chris is.”
For Bischoff, the move wouldn’t necessarily be about money or long-term contracts — it would be about completing a historic résumé and telling one last great story. He floated the idea that Jericho could use TNA as a strategic detour on the road to a WWE farewell run:
“What if there’s a story-driven — or maybe not even as much story as strategic — way to reintroduce Chris to the WWE audience by doing it differently than we normally do? I think Chris would like to do it... There’s possibly a way to get to that retirement tour by creating demand through TNA, instead of just dropping him right into WWE.”
Bischoff sees this moment as a rare opportunity — for both Jericho and TNA — to create something unexpected. And while Grilling JR host Jim Ross recently dismissed the idea entirely, saying, “I think it’s WWE or nothing for Jericho,” Bischoff’s take goes deeper than just contracts.
This isn’t about jumping ship — it’s about cementing legacy. Jericho has worked everywhere: WCW, WWE, AEW, NJPW, ECW. TNA is the only major stop left. Could we really see Jericho walk through the TNA curtain before heading back to WWE? Or is Bischoff just dreaming big?
