Eric Bischoff just revealed a terrifying chapter from his personal life—one that involved a relentless stalker, creepy letters, and a federal investigation.
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff opened up about being stalked by a disturbed fan for nearly a decade. And this wasn’t just some online harassment—things got so serious that the FBI had to step in.
“I had a stalker once, and the FBI had to get involved,” Bischoff said. “Look, it was a disturbed young woman. This went on for years—like eight years. She would mail stuff to the house.”
At first, Bischoff thought it was just weird fan mail—something that comes with the territory in the wrestling business. But the messages kept piling up and started getting more disturbing.
“You’d read something in the mail, look at it, and go, ‘Wow, that’s crazy,’ and throw it in the garbage. Then you’d get another one, then another one, and they just kept coming.”
Over time, the tone of the letters shifted. That’s when Bischoff knew it was more than just a fan getting carried away.
“I looked at them, and they kept getting weirder and weirder. At that point, I turned them over to Turner Security… I decided it was time to get somebody else involved.”
Eventually, Turner Broadcasting’s internal security team escalated the case—and that’s when things got serious, as Bischoff said, “Turner took it from there, and ultimately the FBI got involved.”
Bischoff didn’t go into detail about what the FBI found or how the matter ended, but he made it clear this was no ordinary fan interaction. The story shows the risks that public figures—especially in the wrestling world—face when fandom crosses the line into obsession. While Bischoff dealt with backstage chaos in the wrestling business, this real-life scare went far beyond the ring.
Have you ever heard of a wrestling fan situation getting this extreme? Should wrestling companies take more precautions to protect their stars from real-world threats? Drop your thoughts in the comments—we want to hear from you.
