Eric Bischoff has now revealed his status for this week’s episode of SmackDown, which will pay Tribute to Hulk Hogan after his passing.

Easy E took to Twitter and revealed that WWE had invited him to attend their planned tribute to Hulk Hogan on SmackDown. However, he wasn’t able to make it to Cleveland in time for the live broadcast on USA Network.

Bischoff said he appreciated the invitation and wished he could be there in person. Even then, he added that he would be there in spirit, just like Hulk, as WWE honors the Hall of Famer’s legacy.

“I appreciate the invitation and wish I could be in Clevland in time. But I will be there in spirit. And so will Hulk: WWE remembers Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan”

As previously reported, WWE is bringing in a star-studded lineup of wrestling legends for the special tribute segment. Confirmed names include Gerald Brisco, Brian Blair, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Jimmy Hart, and “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase. Each of these legends had a close connection to Hulk Hogan throughout his career, making their presence at the tribute especially meaningful.

Even though Eric Bischoff won’t be able to attend, his message makes it clear how much Hulk Hogan meant to him and the wrestling community. SmackDown will celebrate the life of the Hulkster and Bischoff’s absence will obviously be felt in a big way, but fans are looking forward to the show no matter what.
