Injuries can happen at any moment when you’re a pro wrestler. Elio LeFleur knows this all too well, and he just had to vacate the WWE Speed Title because of it.
The March 31 episode of NXT was a big show in NYC. Elio LeFleur was on hand in a backstage segment, but he didn’t have great news to deliver before Stand & Deliver.
Elio LeFleur was taken out last week in a backstage attack. He was taken out of the #1 contender tag team tournament in the process. That isn’t the end to his bad news, because now he is no longer a champion.
During this week’s episode of NXT, Elio LeFleur revealed that he will be out for six months with his current injury. This means he will no longer be able to defend the WWE Speed Title.
Elio LeFleur revealed that a new #1 contender tournament will start for the WWE Speed Title next week. That was sad news, and WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair even showed up to show her support.
We will have to see what Elio LeFleur is able to do next. He received a nice push as the French Luchador. Now he will have to sit on the sidelines shortly after he was really starting to pick up steam.
