Elayna Black’s voice might be shot — but that didn’t stop her from showing up and giving fans exactly what they wanted at Anime Verse Fest in Kansas City.
The former NXT star kicked off her appearance with Denise Salcedo by revealing the real reason behind her barely-there voice… and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a weekend packed with wrestling fandom chaos.
Before diving into a round of Never Have I Ever, Elayna made it clear her vocal cords were hanging on by a thread.
“Yeah, I’m down. I don’t really have a voice right now, so bear with me. But um yes, I’m very down.”
Denise immediately called it out, joking that Elayna’s stacked schedule probably had something to do with it. Elayna didn’t argue — she explained the non-stop grind of meet-and-greets, interviews, and little to no sleep is what wrecked her voice.
“Yeah, lots of interviews, lots of signings… about zero sleep and zero voice, but you know, we’re here. We’re doing it.”
Even without a proper voice, Elayna powered through the entire fan interaction like a pro — proving once again she’s all about the hustle. Whether it’s autograph sessions, interviews, or playful jabs about her dating life, she made sure the fans got their money’s worth.
