EC3 is out of the NWA—and he’s not leaving quietly.
The former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion took to Twitter on January 1, 2026, to confirm he’s officially done with the promotion. But this wasn’t your typical “thanks and goodbye” post. EC3 delivered a raw, reflective and powerful message that unpacked everything he stood for during his run—from carrying the top title to building a new developmental system from the ground up.
“MY TIME WITH THE NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE HAS COME TO AN END,” EC3 wrote. “I’m grateful for the opportunities I was given and the people I shared the work with. The Top 1% was never a ‘gimmick.’ It is a standard. Future actions will reflect that.”
In the post, EC3 recapped his dominant reign with the legendary NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, noting he defended the title more than 80 times across four continents. He gave shoutouts to key matches, including Samhain in Cleveland against Tom Latimer, his death match with Matt Cardona, and his one-time bout against Jax Dane —and he didn’t forget the big one: “And yes, I retired Tyrus. You’re welcome.”
But EC3 made it clear that this run wasn’t just about the gold—it was about respect, work ethic, and setting a standard behind the scenes that few people ever see.
“Being champion isn’t just about ‘holding gold’ and performing. It’s about carrying weight when no one’s watching. I treated the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship with respect—for its history, its legacy, and what it’s meant to represent.”
EC3 also revealed a major behind-the-scenes contribution: helping launch Exodus Pro, the NWA’s first official developmental territory. According to him, that project wasn’t just about opportunity—it was about building a culture that produced results.
“Multiple wrestlers who came through our system went on to appear on the NWA main roster. That wasn’t by accident. That was culture producing results.”
And while he didn’t name what’s next, EC3 ended with a message about leadership—something he believes is earned, not assigned.
“Leadership in wrestling is rarely discussed, and even rarer to see practiced… It isn’t something you’re asked to do. It’s something you step into when the role demands it. That’s how you show respect for the work. Building the future matters to me. That work continues.”
After revitalizing the NWA title and pushing the company’s old-school vision forward, EC3’s exit marks a major change—but one that feels like the start of a new mission.
