EC3 Claims He’s Been Blackballed from Major Wrestling Companies After NWA Exit

EC3’s next move in wrestling is still unclear after his NWA exit — but according to him, there may be a reason he hasn’t landed in another major promotion yet.

While speaking with Sportshadow on March 8, 2026, the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion claimed that a big reason he isn’t currently signed anywhere is that he believes he’s been blackballed within the wrestling industry. EC3 began by reflecting on the feeling of performing when everything aligns the way it should in wrestling

“When you are who you truly want to be and you’re in that ring, there’s nothing better. Right now I’m not in a major company, and that’s on purpose.”

However, he also made it clear that stepping away hasn’t been entirely voluntary. According to EC3, part of the reason he’s currently outside the major promotions is because he believes he’s been blackballed. EC3 admitted that the time away from the limelight has forced him to take a deeper look at his relationship with the wrestling industry itself.

“At the same time, I’m also blackballed from most of those places because some people can’t handle my honest truth, and that’s fine. What matters to me is figuring out what I still love about wrestling.”

“But over the past few weeks and months, there have also been moments that made me realize there are things about the business that I really dislike. Sometimes it even makes me question why I’m still involved in it.”

His comments arrive just weeks after he hinted earlier this year that he could potentially return to a promotion like TNA Wrestling if the right opportunity appeared. At the time, EC3 suggested he wasn’t actively chasing a contract but was waiting for the right moment.

Now, with his latest remarks claiming he’s been blackballed from several companies, the future of the “Top 1%” remains uncertain — though EC3 clearly isn’t ruling out a comeback if the right situation emerges.
