EC3’s time in the National Wrestling Alliance is over—but he’s not going quietly, and he might be stepping right back into another limelight.
On January 12, 2026, the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion joined Inside the Ring and dropped a few verbal bombs that have fans talking, especially when asked if he’d return to TNA Wrestling.
“I don’t chase three-letter brands, man. I chase moments. The top one percent returning. Let me quote John Cena: ‘The time is now’—to bring the top one percent and the idea back. But is this a nostalgia run, or something worse? Time will tell.”
The statement wasn’t a confirmation—but it was far from a denial. EC3 made it clear that he’s not actively seeking a new contract but rather watching to see which company has the guts to capitalize, especially if it’s TNA.
“I can say with confidence that this is a moment I’m waiting to see play out. If they have a set of balls, they’ll know exactly what to do. I’m not seeking as much as I’m waiting to see what comes.”
More than just in-ring work, EC3 pointed to something deeper—a sense of purpose and alignment with what’s being built behind the scenes. And just in case there was any doubt about the value he brings to a promotion, EC3 made sure to leave the conversation with a signature mic drop.
“What I’ve learned in wrestling over the past couple of years is alignment—how to be aligned with what’s being created and what’s being portrayed. It’s more than just what you do as an individual in the ring. Wherever I go next, it’s going to be a better place when I get there—and a better place when I leave.”
Whether it’s TNA, another surprise destination, or something entirely new, EC3 has made one thing clear: the “Top 1%” isn’t just a nickname—it’s a warning.
