Dustin Rhodes has been with AEW since 2019 and is an important part of the company. Before that, he made a name for himself in WWE, and many still wonder if he will ever return to WWE and work with Cody Rhodes. In fact, Dustin Rhodes has now set the record straight on returning to WWE.
A fan took to Twitter and told Dustin Rhodes that he should have returned to WWE when he had the chance and could have had a great story with his brother, Cody Rhodes, saying, “Should’ve come back to WWE, could’ve had a great story with cody.”
Dustin Rhodes responded to the fan, making it clear that he has no interest in going back. He explained that he did everything possible with his Goldust character, which is now retired. He also added that he is extremely happy in AEW and has no regrets about his decision.
“Nah. Why? Goldust did everything you can think of. Happy I got the character and took it to places some only dream of. Goldust is retired. 1000% Happiest I have ever been, here in @AEW”
The Natural also noted that he plans to hang up his pro wrestling boots after a couple of years, so he wants to accomplish as much as possible till then, especially since he wants to win a World Title before he retires.
Dustin Rhodes has signed a multi-year contract with AEW, guaranteeing his stay with the company as both a wrestler and a mentor for younger talent. While he will never go back to WWE and become Goldust again, fans are just happy to see Dustin Rhodes thrive in AEW right now.
