The October 17, 2025 edition of WWE SmackDown ended in chaos after Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre — but the finish left the challenger fuming. Rhodes intentionally caused a disqualification by smashing McIntyre with the title, and The Scottish Warrior did not take it well.

McIntyre later posted a video from the gym, venting about his frustration and how these setbacks keep following him.

“I need to get therapy. I don’t know what to do at this point. This keeps happening again and again. Our world champion gives me the match, then causes a DQ and takes away another opportunity. I’m sure when I talk about it next week people will blame me and say I’m whining.”

The former WWE Champion admitted his anger nearly drove him to extremes before Sheamus stepped in to calm him down.

“My first reaction was I gotta torch his bus. Not when his family’s around but I gotta torch his bus. Then Sheamus gets me on the red eye flight — it was 5 a.m. and I couldn’t go home. I didn’t want to make my wife’s day hell. I flew here and still did leg day.”

Even without sleep, McIntyre insisted he won’t stop grinding, no matter how stacked the deck may seem against him.

“I have to keep going; I can’t give up. Maybe I’m a psychopath because I’m in the gym right now, doing legs after yesterday with no sleep at all. I don’t care how many people Corporate Cody has behind him — that title is mine. I’m going to get it no matter what it takes. I’ve given up family for this industry; it’s the life I chose. I know next week is going to be hell for Cody, and no matter what it takes I’m going to have my moment.”

McIntyre’s passion for the gold hasn’t wavered, and WWE fans are now watching closely to see what happens next. A showdown with Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event could be the next chapter in this heated rivalry.
