Drew McIntyre isn’t holding back when it comes to what he really thinks about Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, after the events of last week’s SmackDown.

The Scottish Warrior took to Twitter and uploaded a video of himself during a workout session, where he addressed both Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. He made it clear that he considers Cody’s absence a gift and claimed that WWE fans are tired of seeing the same “Cody reruns” every week. In his view, the so-called “winds of change” are moving through WWE, and his mission is to bring that change by removing Rhodes from the top spot.

“God knows when he’s gonna be back. WWE sure as hell won’t reveal what’s actually wrong with their Golden Boy. Enjoy your time off, Cody — it’s a gift. I’m focused on Cody — the future of this company. The winds of change are blowing through WWE, and we’re sick of the same Cody reruns, week after week. Change means no champion.”

McIntyre also turned his attention to Randy Orton, questioning why the veteran continues to insert himself into his business. He stated that Orton is trying to follow in John Cena’s footsteps with a retirement tour, but unlike Cena, Orton is self-destructive and reckless. McIntyre compared him to Old Yeller, a legend ready to be put down, and accused him of looking for a way out of the industry in one last blaze of glory.

Drew declared that if the Viper wants that ending, he is more than willing to be the one to give it. He warned Randy not to try another sneak attack, promising to meet him face-to-face on Friday Night SmackDown and knock him out if he tried to interfere again.

“What I’m concerned about right now is my side quest. Once again, Randy Orton is in my business, and I don’t know why. Randy, we’ve done this dance more times than we can count. Randy, try figuring out what’s going on in your own head. Randy… you see Cena, is that it? The retirement tour?

You think to yourself, ‘I started with Cena back in OVW. His path was perfect, planned out, organized.’ But Randy, you’re self-destructive. You’re Old Yeller. You want to go out in a blaze of glory. I think you see the end coming, and you’re trying to find your way out of this industry. And I’m happy to oblige.”

This comes after Randy Orton hit a vicious RKO on Drew McIntyre during the August 22nd edition of SmackDown. So we’ll have to see what will happen once Orton and McIntyre are under the same roof on SmackDown this week in France.
