Drew McIntyre’s idea of “happy holidays” comes with a heavy warning—especially if you’re Cody Rhodes.

After months of animosity and mind games, WWE officially announced on the December 19th edition of Friday Night SmackDown that McIntyre and Rhodes will collide once again for the Undisputed WWE Championship. But while fans are still reeling from the announcement, McIntyre used a digital exclusive on WWE’s YouTube channel to send Cody a pointed, no-filter message packed with personal shots, accusations—and a not-so-subtle promise of destruction.

McIntyre kicked things off by calling Rhodes a liar and referencing a recent parking lot attack, where Cody blindsided him on McIntyre’s “own property.”

“Cody, Cody, Cody. You’re such a smug bastard, aren’t you? You tell half truths and lies up and down, but I’ll go into those next time I’m face to face with you. You attacked me in the parking lot a couple of weeks ago, and all I was trying to do was come to work, do my job, and you have the audacity to attack me on my property?”

From there, McIntyre went deeper, accusing Cody of abandoning his values and painting himself as a protector of WWE’s fans.

“You’ve lost it, Cody. You’re an animal, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and I’m protecting these fans from seeing you rapidly descend into madness and mess this whole thing up for everyone.”

He then made it personal, telling Rhodes that his run at the top is nearing its end.

“You’ve admitted I’m the first person who’s broken you. Everyone sees it. Everyone sees that you’re not the QB1 anymore. You’re gonna be riding the bench as soon as a new captain emerges.”

McIntyre didn’t hold back as he blamed an “inept official” for his previous loss to Rhodes and vowed revenge in the rematch, which will take place in Grand Rapids.

“You escaped as champion last time we faced off because of an inept official. You think I was just gonna forget about that? No, man, I’ll be in Grand Rapids next week. You’ve got a week to think about the rest of your life, Cody.”

And just when it sounded like McIntyre had said it all, he wrapped things up with a holiday message that sounded more like a final warning:

“So I hope you have a happy holidays, Cody, you and your family—it will be your last as WWE champion.”

McIntyre’s confidence is off the charts heading into their upcoming match, and if his words are any indication, he’s not coming to wrestle—he’s coming to take everything.
