Drew McIntyre didn’t spend Thanksgiving carving turkeys—he spent it carving up his WarGames opponents on social media.
On November 27, McIntyre posted a fiery video on Twitter while fresh from the gym, calling out Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and especially CM Punk. With WarGames just days away, McIntyre delivered the most brutal kind of gratitude—one soaked in sarcasm and threats of violence. He opened the video by flexing on everyone who planned to take the holiday easy:
“Phase one, complete Thanksgiving workout. Turkey Day workout. You can have it all if you’re Drew McIntyre.”
From there, he mocked fans who were about to overeat and feel miserable the next day, explaining his way of doing things:
“If you do it right when you’re Drew McIntyre, you get the workout in, give it your all in the gym, then you can eat as much as you want tomorrow. All those proteins and carbs and tons of fats are just going to go straight to the muscles. You get twice as swole, feel twice as good.”
But the message wasn’t just about meal plans—it was about payback. McIntyre made it clear he’s going into WarGames with a grudge against everyone, especially the babyface team.
“I’m thankful for WarGames on Saturday. I’m thankful that I get to acknowledge Roman Reigns with my boot in his face. Thankful I get to beat on those stupid twins that have been like hyenas in my life for the past few years.”
He then zeroed in on Cody Rhodes, taking shots at the system that he believes has been protecting him:
“Cody will have nowhere to run, no referees he can pressure to screw me out the title. No politics or machine that can protect him, that can suspend me. Aldis and Pearce, there’s nothing you can do.”
Then came the real holiday treat—CM Punk. McIntyre made it clear that Saturday’s WarGames is personal:
“The cherry on top. CM Punk. I get to take him to hell once again. That actually feels like Christmas over Thanksgiving.”
As for the people still asking why he joined the heel WarGames team, Drew broke it down like this:
“For the slowest members, I’ll explain it simply. Logan and I are cool. I’ve got no issues with the Braun twins… Heyman, I sent him and Brock out of WWE at one point. Brock, I’d rather be on the same team with than against. The thing about dishonest men is you can always trust them to be dishonest. It’s the so-called honest ones… you gotta watch out for.”
And finally, he said what everyone was thinking—just with more brute honesty than anyone else on the roster:
“To be honest, could’ve summed all this up quite simply as—I hate every single one of those guys and I get them in a cage. So yeah, thankful. Happy Turkey Day, lads.”
With WarGames looming, McIntyre’s message wasn’t just a promo—it was a promise. And it sounds like he’s got a personal hit list going into Saturday.
