Drew McIntyre isn’t done talking about CM Punk, and if Punk crosses his path at the Royal Rumble, McIntyre is making it clear—he’s taking him out.

In a new interview with The Scottish Sun Sport, McIntyre doubled down on his disdain for Punk, calling him a “cancer” and claiming he was trying to do everyone a favor by taking him out.

“Yeah, I made it clear, if he gets in the way at the Royal Rumble, I’m going to take him out. I’m not going to actively target him right now because the truth is, I was trying to take him out for the benefit of everybody,” McIntyre said. “Guy’s a cancer, he plays the part of a hero for the people so well, but the truth is, it’s just all about himself. He doesn’t care and eventually, the truth comes out—he’s a terrible person and is in it for himself. It affects everybody around him. It affects the locker room, affects the company just looking through history.”

McIntyre insists he’s no longer on a mission to rid WWE of Punk for the greater good—now, it’s personal.

“My attitude now is, I’m not doing it for everybody. So when I get my chance, I’ll do it for me,” he added.

Then, McIntyre took things a step further, coming up with a new excuse for why he lost to Punk inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood. According to him, it wasn’t Punk that beat him—it was blood loss.

“He’s gonna get his. When he gets in my path, he’s going to get his, but I have certain goals in mind now. Inevitably, he’s going to get taken out. The funny thing is, Seth and some guys have matches with him—he’s going to break again. People who are in the ring with him are going to take credit for it, but it’s what happened at Hell in a Cell,” McIntyre claimed.

“I beat the hell out of him, I succumbed to blood loss. I didn’t get beaten by him, I got beaten by not enough blood left in my body at that point. But I damaged him badly, and his body’s going to collapse on him eventually. It was me that did it, but as usual, someone else will get the credit for something I did. It’s just the way things go for Drew McIntyre.”

Drew McIntyre isn’t letting his loss to CM Punk go, and now he’s got a new excuse—blood loss. Whether he actually gets his revenge at the Royal Rumble or just keeps running his mouth, one thing is certain: McIntyre is locked in on taking Punk out, no matter what. With both men set to be in the match, the tension is through the roof, and fans will be watching closely to see if McIntyre delivers on his threat.

Will this be the night McIntyre finally puts Punk down for good, or will he be left making even more excuses? Drop your thoughts below!
