Drew McIntyre isn’t pretending to be a polite champion—and he’s not interested in winning over people who already made up their minds about him.

During his appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, the reigning WWE Champion was asked directly what he’d say to critics, doubters, and anyone rooting for his downfall. Instead of dodging it, Drew leaned all the way in. He explained that the negativity doesn’t bother him at all. In fact, he says he thrives on it and wishes there were more people coming after him because it only fuels his confidence and performance.

“Keep hating. I absolutely love it. I mean, there’s just not as many. I wish I had more. So I’m going to keep running my mouth. Hopefully, I offend more of you out there with some of the stuff that I say, then keep coming at me, because unfortunately for you, the skin is too thick. I’ve been around too long. I’ve been through too much. And you’ll never ever out-talk me.”

Drew then addressed the common criticism that he’s just an “internet troll,” flipping that label into a challenge. He framed himself as someone who dominates every arena—online, on the mic, and in the ring.

“I always say, when people come [at me] — ‘Drew, you’re just an internet troll.’ Am I though? Am I though? Don’t I just out-talk you on the internet? Then I step from behind the keyboard. Then I out-talk your favorite wrestler on the microphone. And then I beat them up because I’m 6’5”, 280.”

And just when it sounded like he was done, Drew added one last line designed to sting even more.

“And if I wasn’t married, I’d take your girl too.”

The comments fit perfectly with the version of McIntyre fans are seeing right now—confident, ruthless, and fully comfortable being the villain if that’s what it takes to stay on top. He’s not chasing approval, and he’s not interested in softening his edge for anyone.

Drew McIntyre is making it clear that this title reign isn’t about being liked. It’s about control, dominance, and daring anyone—fans, critics, or fellow wrestlers—to try and knock him off his throne.
