In a wild pre-show twist, Drew McIntyre posted footage of himself making a surprise appearance at a local liquor store in Austin, Texas—just hours before Friday Night SmackDown goes live from the Moody Center.
The video shows McIntyre greeting fans inside the store, delivering a loud and unapologetic message for WWE management—and Cody Rhodes.
“Love to party in Texas. 10am at the liquor store. Yeah. Nick Aldis didn’t want me to be here today. Offended. You can’t come and see the people. You know what I said? Screw you, Nick.”
McIntyre made it clear he wasn’t about to stay quiet ahead of WWE’s December 5 show.
“Not only am I here today to see you all, but I’ll be at SmackDown tonight. Nick. Screw you, Cody. Drew McIntyre is for the people. And the people—let’s get hammered. If you’re over 21. Let’s go.”
The remarks come just a week after Survivor Series: WarGames, where McIntyre’s frustrations with Rhodes reached a boiling point. His defiance toward SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and his direct shot at the Undisputed WWE Champion adds even more fuel to the fire heading into tonight’s show.
With LA Knight and GUNTHER set to clash in the Last Time Is Now tournament finals and Cody Rhodes already advertised for a live appearance, McIntyre’s unfiltered promo may be a sign he’s about to crash the party again—this time inside the arena.
Will Drew show up uninvited during Cody’s segment? Is this the start of a full-on rebellion against WWE’s top brass?
