Drew McIntyre took an unexpected loss to Jimmy Uso on the February 21 SmackDown, but if you think the former WWE Champion is stressing about it, think again. The Scottish Warrior didn’t just brush off the defeat—he made sure everyone knew why he’s still in a good mood.
After weeks of tension, McIntyre and Uso finally clashed in a singles match, and in a shocking moment, Big Jim pulled off an upset win. Uso countered McIntyre’s Alabama Slam and stole the victory with a quick roll-up pin. But that celebration didn’t last long. McIntyre snapped after the bell, unleashing a brutal post-match beatdown on the OG Bloodline member.
Backstage, Byron Saxton caught up with McIntyre, who had zero frustration about the loss. “Do I look frustrated? No, that’s all. I’m going to the Elimination Chamber. I’m going to win for the third time, and I’m going to go to WrestleMania, [and] win the title. Why would I be frustrated?” McIntyre said, brushing off Uso’s win as nothing more than a lucky break. “Sure, Jimmy got a fluke win; it’s the biggest moment of his career. [I had] 60 cc’s [fluid] drained up my knee; never going to make an excuse.”
The former WWE Champion even took a sarcastic shot at his opponent. “Congratulations, Jimmy, here’s your big moment! You [shared] a moment from Drew McIntyre because all they’re talking about is after the match. Did he look like a winner? F-no! See, I can be PG. PG-McIntyre because I’m in a good mood all the time.”
McIntyre is locked in for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, where he’ll fight for a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41. With his sights set on the biggest stage, it’s clear he sees this loss as nothing more than a speed bump.
