Drew McIntyre has finally broken his silence after being suspended live on air during the chaotic November 7 episode of WWE SmackDown—and he did it in the most Drew McIntyre way possible.

On November 9, the Scottish Warrior took to Twitter/X to share two photos from his brutal Claymore Kick on referee Dan Engler and Cody Rhodes, simply captioning the post: “Ruthless Depression.”

The tweet features back-to-back images of McIntyre launching himself into a devastating Claymore, aimed squarely at the referee as chaos erupted around them. The chilling post comes just two days after McIntyre’s on-air meltdown, where he attacked an official during the SmackDown main event between Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black, leading to his immediate suspension by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.

The fallout didn’t end there. WWE later released unseen footage showing McIntyre in a heated backstage altercation with Aldis after the show. Security and producer Bobby Roode had to step in as Drew screamed in defiance, refusing to leave the arena. Aldis shouted “Shut the f**k up!” while Roode demanded he exit the building immediately.

Now, Drew’s dark and sarcastic “Ruthless Depression” caption suggests that the suspension—and possibly his mental state in the storyline—may be taking him to an even darker place.

Drew McIntyre’s cryptic message adds to one of WWE’s most volatile storylines heading into the end of the year. Whether this is the start of a redemption arc—or a total breakdown—remains to be seen.

What do you think Drew McIntyre’s “Ruthless Depression” tweet really means? Is it a warning shot at WWE or a glimpse of where his story is heading next? Share your thoughts in the comments.
