John Cena’s WWE retirement match is shaping up to be more than just a sendoff—it could become a spectacle with two of the most controversial names in wrestling history potentially in the building.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez mentioned ongoing internal discussions about who might appear at Cena’s final match, scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. Among the names reportedly being talked about behind the scenes? Donald Trump and Vince McMahon.
“Obviously, one of the big questions is who is going to be there for the Washington D.C. final match of John Cena’s career — Saturday Night’s Main Event. There has been a lot of talk about the possibility of Donald Trump being there, a lot of talk about the possibility of Vince McMahon being there. I don’t know if either of them are gonna be there, but it’s certainly been discussed.”
Nothing is confirmed yet, but the fact that both names are being tossed around in connection with Cena’s retirement adds to the intrigue to an already monumental night. Cena’s legacy is cemented in WWE, and both Trump and McMahon have played prominent roles in the company’s history—whether through storyline, ownership, or sheer influence.
With Shane and Stephanie McMahon already showing up at Cena’s final RAW in Madison Square Garden, attention has naturally shifted to whether Vince will follow—and whether Trump’s long-standing relationship with WWE could lead to a surprise appearance. If even one of them shows up, it could completely shift the atmosphere of Cena’s last ride.
John Cena’s final match will headline Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, 2025. Ringside News will have complete live coverage of the event, including match results, backstage reactions, and any surprise appearances as Cena’s legendary career comes to a close.
