Dominik Mysterio may be closer to a WWE return than expected. After weeks of speculation surrounding his recovery from a shoulder injury, new backstage chatter suggests the Intercontinental Champion could be back on WWE television very soon—possibly as early as tonight’s RAW in Philadelphia.
According to PWInsider, Dominik is “expected back imminently” and there was talk earlier today that he was scheduled to be present at the February 2, 2026 episode of Monday Night RAW—the first show after the Royal Rumble. While WWE has not officially confirmed his return, signs now point to a comeback that may be just days—or hours—away.
Dominik has been sidelined since December 20, 2025, after suffering a shoulder injury during a tag team match at AAA’s Guerra de Titanes. The injury occurred when his father, Rey Mysterio, reversed a suplex into a DDT, resulting in a nasty landing that forced WWE to pull him from live events, including a planned mixed tag match in Baltimore on December 26.
WWE never publicly disclosed the full extent of the injury, but commentary acknowledged his absence on the December 29 RAW, and Liv Morgan offered a subtle confirmation during a promo by stating, “Daddy Dom is out.” In early January, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that he wouldn’t require surgery and was only expected to miss “three to four weeks.”
Dominik made a public appearance at Future Stars of Wrestling in Las Vegas on January 29, where he was spotted taking advice and staying close to the action just days before the Royal Rumble. While some speculated a surprise return in Saudi Arabia, he ultimately didn’t make the trip overseas with the rest of Judgment Day.
Now with PWInsider confirming his status and word of him potentially being in the building for RAW, Dominik’s return looks to be imminent—and Judgment Day’s momentum might be about to shift once again.
