Dominik Mysterio Reveals Wild Story of Knife Trade That Ended With Police Involvement

Dominik Mysterio’s life is always full of surprises and that includes the time he was a child and now he has revealed a very wild story of a knife trade that ended with police getting involved.

While speaking on What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon, Dominik Mysterio talked about a time in sixth grade when he got suspended from school. He said he was a curious kid and really liked knives. He had found two small knives in one of Rey Mysterio’s gyms.

One day on the school bus, he was talking to a friend who said he had a bigger knife. Dominik Mysterio thought it made sense to trade his two small knives for the bigger one. He said he wanted a big knife like Rambo and so they made the trade on the bus and they didn’t mean to do anything bad, but Mysterio admits it wasn’t a good look.

Yeah, sixth grade. I got suspended in elementary school, so that didn’t go my way. I was a very curious kid and I liked… I liked knives as a kid. And I had—had two little knives that I had found in, you know, probably one of my dad’s gyms.”

“So I was talking to a buddy of mine on the bus and he said he had a bigger knife. So I decided to—I said, let’s—let’s make a trade here. I have two little knives, you have one big knife. I said, let’s make a trade. In my head that made logical sense. I said, Rambo’s got a big knife. I want a big knife.

Yeah, I wanted a big ass knife. So we made it on the school bus with our knives. We meant no harm. We were just—not a good look. Not a good.”

Someone saw them and told the school. When Dominik Mysterio got called to the office, the staff told him to bring his backpack. He had thrown it into the bushes to try to hide it, but they made him go get it.

“So we got caught. I believe someone caught us on the bus as we were trading. And I think the funniest part of this story is that when I got called into the office, they said, ‘Bring your backpack.’ I—I said I don’t have a backpack because I tossed it in the bushes. They—they forced me to bring out the backpack.”

The school called the police, and Dominik Mysterio got suspended. His dad wasn’t home, so his mom picked him up. She was really upset and told him to wait until his dad got home. When his dad did get home, it didn’t go well for him.

“But yeah, they called the cops on us and it was—got suspended. My dad was not happy. Mom picked me up because dad wasn’t home. Mom was not happy because the first things that come out of her mouth were, ‘Wait for your dad to get home.’ It was not good when dad got home.”

At the end of the day, things just worked out for Dominik Mysterio as he is now one of WWE’s biggest heels but fans find it funny how he got suspended for trading knives like he was in a Rambo movie.
