Dominik Mysterio is getting a very different reaction from WWE fans these days — and he’s not doing anything differently to make it happen.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the Judgment Day star admitted he’s been surprised to hear more cheers than boos lately, especially during his SummerSlam match against AJ Styles. Dominik explained that the fan shift wasn’t due to any major changes in his character or presentation.
“Honestly, it’s super surreal because I haven’t changed a thing about me. You know, I’ve continued to stay true to Dirty Dom, my deadbeat dad… you know, we don’t even mention Voldemort anymore. So, it’s like, you know, me and The Judgment Day just continue to move forward with it. And at the end of the day, I’m just—I’m just doing me, you know. I’m going out there, having fun, and, you know, collecting gold while I’m at it.”
When asked whether he prefers to be booed or cheered, Dominik kept it simple.
“Honestly, as long as they’re making some noise.”
Whether WWE fans want to jeer him or cheer him, Dominik Mysterio clearly just wants them loud — and it’s paying off in crowd energy every time he steps into the ring.
