Dominik Mysterio is the current WWE IC Champion, but that doesn’t make him immune from injury. Rey Mysterio’s son will be on the injured list as we close out 2025.

The December 29 episode of WWE RAW took place at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. During the show, they included some serious and concerning news about Dominik Mysterio.

During a backstage segment with the Judgment Day, Raquel Rodriguez told Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez that she didn’t need their help in her Women’s World Title triple threat match. During that segment, Liv also mentioned offhandedly that Daddy Dom is out of action.

Joe Tessitore later confirmed that Dominik Mysterio is out of action. They didn’t note how bad the injury is, but they did say that details are scarce. All they know at this time is that it seems to be related to his shoulder.

The word “indefinitely” was also used in reference to how long Dominik Mysterio will be out of action. This is not good new for him, because that means the AAA Mega Champion and WWE IC Champion is out of action.

Dominik Mysterio was obviously looking to close out 2025 with a bang, especially after dethroning John Cena for the IC Title at Survivor Series: WarGames. Now, it appears that fans will have to wait for him to recover.

We will keep our eyes peeled for more updates on this still-developing story. Hopefully, Dominik Mysterio won’t be out of action for long, because he is a double champion for two separate companies right now.
