Dominik Mysterio didn’t just show up for a title defense at Saturday Night’s Main Event — he showed up for a young fan fighting leukemia in real life.

Before stepping into the ring, the WWE Intercontinental Champion made time to connect with a young boy undergoing chemotherapy who dressed up as Dominik to stay strong through treatment. His father posted a powerful photo and message showing his son decked out in full wrestling gear and championship belt. Friends helped make the costume happen, and the moment became much more than dress-up. It was about giving the boy a reason to smile during the fight of his life.

“There’s no date that hasn’t arrived and a deadline that hasn’t been fulfilled… Today we arrived at chemotherapy disguised as the ring gynecologist, the filthy of the filthy, the king of fighters… Dominik Mysterio. Thank you Jonathan Ruiz for the beaches, Angel Lda for the belt 🙏🏻 from today they have 2 friends for anything we are for what we can and this is in our possibilities. Let’s all be aware of childhood leukemia, a fight that surpasses all tastes and all the wrestling queens 🎗️💛.”

Hours later, the boy’s day turned into a dream when Dominik reached out personally with a video call. The gesture left the child speechless and the father overwhelmed with emotion.

“It’s done, thank you Latiin Staar!! No words as fanatic, and as dad… Pff!!! There is no feeling to describe this moment, those who have children will understand and those who are fans, too! My son’s voice after talking to his idol is something I will never forget in my entire life!! And all thanks to Latiin Staar and each and every one of you who commented, who shared and wish us all from the heart THANK YOU VERY MUCH FRIENDS!”

Later that night, Dominik Mysterio successfully defended his Intercontinental Title in a triple threat match against Rusev and Penta. But no win inside the ring compared to what he gave that kid — a moment of joy in a fight no one asks to be in.

Real champions show up when the cameras aren’t rolling. Dominik reminded the world that even heels can be heroes when it matters most.

Think Dominik’s video call proves wrestling’s impact outside the ring is stronger than any storyline? Drop your thoughts in the comments — and tell us what this moment meant to you.
