Big E is making it clear—when it comes to pulling off Eddie Guerrero’s legendary chair trick in the ring, Dominik Mysterio should have exclusive rights.
The WWE star didn’t hold back on the latest episode of the WWE RAW Recap, where he broke down the infamous spot that’s become a favorite tribute to Guerrero. The move, which involves faking a chair shot and tossing it to your opponent just in time for the ref to catch them holding the weapon, has been seen plenty in recent years. But Big E thinks it’s time others step back and let Dom own it.
“I love the Eddie spot, but it can lose its appeal if you see it over and over again. I think it’s Dominik’s spot now. I think Dominik has the right to the Eddie spot, and everyone else has to leave it alone. It’s Dom’s exclusively; he’s been killing it, it’s his.”
Dominik Mysterio, the on-screen “son” of the late Eddie Guerrero in storyline lore—and real-life son of Rey Mysterio—has been using the chair spot regularly during his heel run. For Big E, that connection is enough to justify keeping it in the Mysterio family.
Big E’s comments are sparking debate among fans who see the Guerrero tribute as sacred ground in wrestling psychology. But for the former WWE Champion, overexposure is killing the moment, and Dominik is the only one doing it justice.
Should Dominik be the only one to use Eddie Guerrero’s signature chair spot—or is it fair game for any wrestler to pay tribute? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
