Dominik Mysterio is hearing more cheers these days, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to ditch his villain role.

Speaking with Bleacher Report’s Graham “GSM” Matthews, the Intercontinental Champion addressed the growing fan support he’s been getting since WrestleMania and whether he might ever turn full-on babyface. While he isn’t ruling it out, Dominik made it clear that any change in his character has to happen naturally.

“You know, I react to what is being given to me, right? And as of now, they’ve been booing me, but every now and then, they’ll chant that Dirty Dom song. And that Dirty Dom song, for one way or another, it always gets a crack out of me and I tend to break and smile because it’s funny hearing everyone singing it together — because I’ve just been getting booed for years. So like… I don’t know if I’ll ever embrace it ’cause I haven’t changed anything about myself. I’ve just been Dirty Dom all the way. So the fact that the people still love it… I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see.”

When Matthews noted that a turn would need to happen on its own, Dominik fully agreed.

“Yeah, it’s got to be organic. You can’t force anything. Can’t force it.”

For now, Dominik is sticking to being “Dirty Dom,” but with the WWE Universe slowly warming up to him, the door remains open for a babyface turn down the road.
