Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is proving once again that his love for pro wrestling runs deep. With the team on their bye week, the Lions held a Halloween party that included stars like Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Penei Sewell, and plenty of others—but it was Gibbs who turned heads with a nostalgic wrestling look.
Instead of suiting up for football, Gibbs arrived at the event fully dressed as current TNA star Jeff Hardy. And he wasn’t alone—his girlfriend joined in the act by dressing up as WWE Hall of Famer Lita, completing the Attitude Era-inspired duo.
This isn’t Gibbs’ first time showing off his fandom. Earlier this year, the rising NFL star was spotted attending night two of WWE WrestleMania 41, confirming that wrestling is more than just a costume for him.
While fans loved the throwback tribute, Lions Nation is hoping Gibbs can deliver in pads just as well as he delivers in face paint. The Lions are currently 5–2 in the 2025 NFL season, but the team is still looking to rebound from two disappointing losses—one to the Green Bay Packers in September and another to the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this month.
Now coming off their bye week, Detroit is preparing for a crucial divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, November 2. Whether he’s channeling Jeff Hardy or cutting through defenses, Jahmyr Gibbs knows how to put on a show. And for fans of WWE and the NFL alike, it’s the kind of crossover energy they love to see.
Do you think Jahmyr Gibbs should make a WWE appearance someday? And what other players would you like to see step into the squared circle? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
