Declan McMahon is set to attend the WWE Royal Rumble in Indianapolis, and he’s already sparking speculation about his future in the company.
Taking to Twitter on February 1, the son of Shane McMahon confirmed he’ll be in the crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium, writing: “Can’t wait to be at the Royal Rumble tomorrow night in Indianapolis!!!”
But it was his follow-up tweet that really got people talking. When a fan suggested he should enter the Royal Rumble match, Declan simply replied: “Soon.”
This isn’t the first time Declan has hinted at stepping into a WWE ring. Back in October 2023, he openly stated that he believed he would be good at wrestling. Given his background as a running back for the Indiana Hoosiers, he already has the athleticism to make the jump. However, after entering the transfer portal in April 2024, his sports career has been in limbo.
Could Declan McMahon be the next member of the McMahon family to lace up his boots? While nothing has been confirmed, his latest tease makes it clear that he’s at least entertaining the idea. With WWE always looking to shake things up, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him step into the spotlight sooner rather than later.
