WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page has revealed he was hospitalized after suffering a frightening episode of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), marking the second time in three years he’s dealt with the condition.

In a video recorded from his hospital bed, DDP appeared calm and alert, even stretching just moments after undergoing a successful cardioversion — a procedure used to restore the heart’s normal rhythm. But it was the message behind the footage that struck a deeper chord.

“Last week, I went into AFib. I normally wear a heart monitor when training, but for some reason didn’t this day,” Page explained in the caption. “I pushed myself too hard, felt ‘off’, dizzy, and heart racing… and well, here we are…”

Page added that he’s scheduled for a cardiac ablation next month to address the issue more permanently. In the meantime, he used the moment to encourage others to take their heart health seriously — especially older adults and athletes.

“I will never not wear a heart monitor and/or @Apple watch when working out again. I promise Payge!” he wrote, addressing his wife, Payge McMahon.
“If you are over 50 and or have a slightly enlarged heart, you should wear a heart monitor too!”

Health has long been at the center of Page’s mission since retiring from in-ring competition. His DDP Yoga (DDPY) program has helped countless wrestlers and athletes manage injuries, get clean, and rebuild their lives. He famously opened his home to Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Scott Hall during their darkest days, helping them recover through structure, wellness, and support.

More recently, Page has supported Lex Luger, Buff Bagwell, Butterbean, and Scotty Riggs — reinforcing his legacy as one of pro wrestling’s most dedicated wellness advocates.

While DDP says he’s feeling better and is focused on recovery, this latest scare serves as a wake-up call for fans and fellow athletes alike.
