Dax Harwood didn’t hold back after being called out by a critic online—and his response was pure fire.
A Twitter user decided to take a shot at Harwood and his tag team partner Cash Wheeler, accusing them of being “sad and pathetic cosplay versions” of their former selves from their WWE days as The Revival. The fan claimed the AEW tag team had “lost their mind drinking the AEW Kool-Aid,” saying they’ve become jokes compared to their earlier success.
“You should. You and your partner have become jokes. Sad and pathetic cosplay versions of yourselves. A once great tag team who apparently lost their mind drinking the AEW Kool-Aid.”
Harwood fired back by mocking the insult and using it as an opportunity to throw shade at their old WWE run. He shared photos from some of the most humiliating moments of their time in WWE—including the infamous segment where they shaved each other’s backs and another where he was pied in the face.
“Hell yeah brotha! We’ve become sad and pathetic, cosplaying a ‘once great tag team’. No, not the Briscoes trilogy, or Aussie Open match, or 58 minutes with BCG, or holding 3 world titles simultaneously. No, none of those while drinking AEW Kool-Aid. I bet this was our ‘good old days’ to you?”
The reply instantly flipped the script. Instead of defending himself, Harwood leaned into the mockery and reminded everyone how much FTR has accomplished in AEW compared to their underwhelming WWE tenure. From their brutal trilogy of matches against The Briscoes to winning gold across AEW, ROH, and NJPW, the tag team has redefined their legacy on their own terms.
Their old WWE days as The Revival were filled with comedy segments and creative frustration, something both men have been open about. Harwood’s post made it clear that while their WWE run may have been a learning experience, AEW gave them the freedom to prove why they’re considered one of the best tag teams in the world.
Dax Harwood’s response was a reminder that success doesn’t always mean going back to where you started—it means doing what you love on your own terms.
