All Elite Wrestling is taking over Philadelphia this April with AEW Dynasty, marking the company’s first-ever pay-per-view event in Pennsylvania.

The action goes down at Temple’s Liacouras Center on April 6, giving Philly fans a front-row seat to what AEW boss Tony Khan calls the biggest AEW event in the city’s history.

“Philadelphia has been a great home for AEW and really all of pro wrestling for many years,” Khan told The Inquirer. “The energy is tremendous and we’ve always wanted to have a pay-per-view event there. AEW Dynasty is going to be a great pay-per-view in a great city at an arena where we have a great history of putting on awesome events. It’s the perfect place to make a pay-per-view debut.”

AEW has made Philly a regular stop since launching in 2019, bringing Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision to the city six times. The last time AEW rolled into the Liacouras Center was for a Collision event in November, but this time, Khan says fans should expect an even bigger spectacle.

“I think this will be the biggest event by far,” Khan continued. “AEW Dynasty will be the biggest event AEW has ever held in Philadelphia. I’m very excited for AEW to continue to bring big events to the city and I think it’ll be a great pay-per-view and a great night of wrestling.”

AEW Dynasty debuted last year at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis with a stacked card featuring Kazuchika Okada vs. Pac, Will Ospreay vs. Bryan Danielson, FTR vs. The Young Bucks, and Swerve Strickland vs. Samoa Joe. Khan is determined to keep the momentum going.

“The goal is to live up to the original,” Khan said. “Last year’s Dynasty was a huge hit and a great event. It was tremendous and we built huge expectations for the card and I think we can live up to it and have Dynasty become a great tradition as an awesome pay-per-view for AEW.”

Tickets for AEW Dynasty go on sale Monday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. ET through AEWTix.com and Ticketmaster, while VIP packages will be available starting Monday, Jan. 27.
