Two years after re-signing with AEW, The Dark Order’s future in the company appears to be in limbo.
During a recent Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if Tony Khan had any creative plans for the group, and his response wasn’t promising.
“I haven’t heard of any significant creative plans featuring Dark Order for quite some time. That can always change from week to week,” Sapp said. “I do wish they, and other undercard tag teams and trios were featured more.”
The Dark Order, consisting of Evil Uno, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds, has struggled to find consistent direction in AEW. Once a prominent faction, the group hasn’t been heavily featured on AEW programming in recent months.
Back in 2023, Evil Uno announced on social media that the group had re-signed with AEW, shortly after Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Page did the same. However, despite their contract status, AEW’s creative team doesn’t appear to have any concrete plans for the faction.
With Sean Ross Sapp’s comments suggesting that The Dark Order is off the creative radar, fans are left wondering whether the group will get another opportunity to shine or continue to be overlooked.
