Daria Rae may be taking over TNA Wrestling’s authority role on-screen, but don’t expect her to be taking bumps anytime soon.

Following her dramatic heel turn on Santino Marella and self-reintroduction as The Suit, speculation ran wild about whether the former Sonya Deville would eventually return to the ring. But according to Sean Ross Sapp on the Fightful Select Q&A podcast, there are currently no plans for her to wrestle.

“From what I heard, she's supposed to be a non-wrestling authority figure. She said recently that she's pretty well retired from in-ring competition.”

Rae’s return came through her connections with TNA’s parent company, Anthem Sports & Entertainment. She had previously worked with their Invicta FC MMA promotion—an affiliation that helped open the door for her new role. While Sapp didn’t rule out a future in-ring return, it’s not something that’s currently on the table.

“She has a good relationship with TNA's parent company, Anthem, and got brought in to do some stuff with their Invicta FC MMA promotion.”

“She's going to be a good on-screen character that eventually, if she decides to, she could work as well. But I have not heard anything indicating that she would.”

Daria Rae might look like she’s ready to throw down, but don’t count on a return to the ring just yet. With no matches on the horizon and her focus locked in on running the show, she’s making her presence felt in a totally different way. Whether fans like it or not, The Suit is here to manage, not fight—at least for now.
