Daria Rae just opened up about a legal nightmare that landed her in jail — and it all started with a gun she was allowed to carry.

During her appearance on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, the former WWE star explained how a routine trip turned into a legal mess when she drove from Florida to New Jersey with her registered firearm — something completely legal in Florida, but a problem once she crossed state lines.

“I got my right to carry and my permit in Florida,” Daria said, explaining she was dating her now-wife, who lived in New Jersey. “I would often go back and forth… and totally forgot that I had my gun with me.”

The issue came to a head in Atlantic City. While celebrating her engagement, she valeted her truck — and things went south fast. That’s when police were called, and Daria found herself cuffed and booked.

“They lost my valet stub. So they said, ‘We need to check your insurance to verify it’s your vehicle.’ They opened my glove compartment and saw my 380.”

“I got arrested and put in a real cell. I was in there for three or four hours while they did the paperwork.”

At the time, she was under WWE contract — and feared her career was in jeopardy. She added that WWE showed real understanding behind the scenes.

“I was like, ‘My job, my job, my job.’ I called the powers that be… and they were great about it.”

“They were like, ‘The only reason you even have a gun is because you almost got murdered in your home. We totally understand.’”

Daria made it clear she wasn’t trying to break the law — it was a mistake rooted in personal trauma and a misunderstanding of how state gun laws differ. Thankfully, she resolved everything legally and now knows better when it comes to carrying across state lines.

“It was legal in Florida but not in New Jersey. They found it in my glovebox. I got arrested and put in a cell.”

“Everything got handled. I’m now able to have guns again in New Jersey. But I’ll never forget that.”

This wasn’t a scandal — it was a learning experience. And it shows the real-life fears that even public figures face, especially when trying to protect themselves. Daria’s transparency gave fans a raw, real look at what she’s been through — and just how far she’s come.
