Darby Allin is no stranger to taking risks, whether he’s diving off ladders in the ring or tackling challenges outside of wrestling. But his latest venture might be one of his most unexpected yet—helping a young, unpolished newcomer chase his pro wrestling dreams.

In an interview with Flickering Myth, Allin revealed the unique story of how he ended up mentoring a young man from Paducah, Kentucky, who randomly appeared at his Halloween party. “This kid right here,” Darby said, introducing his friend during the interview. “He lived in Paducah, Kentucky, and he had never done anything in his whole life. He lived under a rock. He randomly came to a Halloween party of mine and never left.”

Instead of showing him the door, Allin embraced the situation. “Now, he lives in the school bus in my backyard and is training to be a pro wrestler,” Darby explained. “I’m pushing him to his limit of getting confidence and not watching his whole life passing him by.”

In true Darby Allin fashion, the AEW star has added “trainer” to his ever-growing list of wrestling accolades. Known for his relentless drive and fearless attitude, Allin is determined to instill the same passion in his protégé.
