Darby Allin has built a reputation as one of the most fearless performers in AEW, and now he’s revealing that many of his most dangerous moments begin with him pitching the idea himself.

While speaking on TMZ Inside The Ring, Darby was asked about the wild car stunt involving Gabe Kidd and whether that moment was carefully planned or something that came from his own imagination. His response made it clear that the risk-taking usually starts with him. He explained that the dangerous ideas don’t come from producers or heavy planning — they often come from his own instincts in the moment.

“It's always my idea. Yeah, there's nothing more except saying, ‘Hey, man, I want to jump a car.’ It's funny, we had Kris Statlander in the studio and she told us how she tries to help out during these situations and see if we can manage some of the stunts, some of the performances that we do. It's more of a spur of the moment, man. I've been living my life on the edge forever and I feel like if it's too controlled and it's too calculated, it doesn't feel right. So, I like to just be as haywire as possible with a lot of these things.”

Darby’s willingness to push limits has been a major part of his identity since joining AEW. From coffin matches to extreme stunts outside the ring, his career has been built around taking risks that many others wouldn’t attempt. His comments also reinforce that the danger fans see on screen isn’t just performance — it’s part of how he naturally approaches life and wrestling.

What do you think about Darby Allin creating many of his own dangerous stunts — does it make his matches more exciting or more risky than necessary? Let us know your thoughts and drop your feedback in the comments.
